Our First Trophy

2009 Highland Gold
(Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc) was awarded a gold medal and trophy at the 2009 International Sweet Wine Challenge. (Read article.)

Orange Highland Wines & Gardens is the first business in the Orange district to be allowed to display the large brown & white NSW government-approved tourist attraction signs.

In our case, in order to have the full name of the business, it required 2 applications:
- the Wineries category and
- the more difficult Outdoor/Nature based – Botanical Gardens category (we’re one of only 3 gardens in NSW with these signs).

Events:

Sculpture in Orange Highland Gardens

The People’s Choice winner in the Sculpture Exhibition held during October and November 2009 was “Midnight Dream” a horse created out of fallen timber by Vicki Blazely of Carcoar NSW.

Margaret and Roger Nancarrow of Orange were the winners of the six bottles of Orange Highland wine.
