The Gardens:
The gardens at Orange Highland Wines & Gardens are strikingly different and beautiful. Commenced in 2005 and completed in 2009, the gardens were designed by Helen Harrison and, apart from specialist trades, all work was carried out by the Harrisons.

Covering 4 acres and comprising 10 garden ‘rooms’, highlights include an expansive and singularly delightful Cottage Garden in which the cellar door is set; a landscaped area featuring plants indigenous to the NSW Central Tablelands and a Music Garden, dominated by a 75 metre long brick-edged path in the shape of a treble clef.

In 2009, Helen Harrison, was one of 12 national finalists for the award of ABC Gardener of the Year. Editor of Gardening Australia Magazine, Jennifer Stackhouse, commented in the February 2010 issue of the magazine:

"Helen’s ideas are so big and exciting it is hard to contain them on the page. Building on her experience in South Australia, she has transformed her rural property in NSW into a vibrant garden”.

The gardens were awarded Best New Garden and Best Commercial Garden in the 2008 Orange Garden Competition.
