Region: Orange Region, NSW, Australia This Pinot Noir was made with the intention of letting the varietal definition of this variety show through with the oak acting as support. Subsequently, the wine has been matured in a range of new and older French oak barrels Winemaker notes: Colour: Light garnet in colour with a slight brick hue. Aroma: Varietal dried herbs and cranberry aromas with spicy complexity. Palate: The 2009 Pinot Noir is a bright, lifted wine with a complex array of aromas and flavours, including varietal dried herbs, cranberry and spice. It is beautifully structured and has a long persistent finish with fine and delicate tannins. Food: A great wine to accompany game meals such as duck and venison. Cellaring: Careful cellaring will reward into the future. Analysis: Alc. 14.5% pH: 3.58 TA: 6.80 |
