Variety:
Sauvignon Blanc Region: Orange Region, NSW, Australia The rich flavours of this wine were made in the vineyard when the vine cordons were cut and the bunches left hanging on the trellis. The grape flavours were subsequently concentrated by part drying before being harvested and fermented in the winery. Winemaker notes: Colour: Pale straw gold with a slight bronze/salmon hue. Aroma: The aromas are quite delicate, showing sweet apricot, citrus fruits and some tropical fruit sauvignon blanc characters. Palate: The palate is sweet and luscious with apricot and citrus and candied fruit flavours. The sweetness is well balanced with a finish that is clean and crisp. Food: Enjoy with fresh fruits, sweet fruit tarts or aged cheeses. Cellaring: Enjoy now and over the next five years as it develops lovely bottle aged maturation flavours. Awards: Gold Medal & Trophy— 2009 International Sweet Wine Challenge Judges’ comment : ‘The gold medal wine is fresh and beautifully balanced’ Analysis: Alc. 13.6% pH: 3.38 TA: 9.00 RS: 95gms |
